Last tramp

I just came home from my last tramp with my outdoor education class. We were 11 people and I took a few good pictures.
We were three days in the mountains and slept in Huts. A hut is usually a small house with basic beds and a furnace. It drizzled on our first day. We've had heavy rain on our second day and we've had a lightly cloudy sky on our last day. Last night I woke up at 2 o'clock am, not a surprise I mean I slept on a thin mattress on the ground, because we've had only 6 beds. I went out and looked up. I have never seen such a beautiful sky. It cleared up in the evening and it was even better at night. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture, because I just didn't want to stand outside at 2 o'clock am at 6 degrees.
All in all that tramp was awesome. I am too lazy to write all the little facts about it. So if you get questions, ask me.

What happened

Nothing really happened here. In the following entry I am going to tell what actually happened here in Hoktika.
The new term at school started and I was already on the river with my Outdoor Education class. We got at school a new french student, who is going to stay here about 3 month. 4 Thai students arrived as well  and they are here for about 3 weeks. One of them, his english nickname is Pung, lives with my hostfamily and me. A few days ago I ordered huge load of chocolate from my parents, but they send only one kg. It is actually pretty much.
My thinking changed a lot. Now I am really thinking in English and it is now a lot easier for me to write or speak in english. So I am very lucky that I decided to write that blog in english. Because if that blog would be in german, I wouldn't write anything anymore.
I got a nice earthquake-app some month ago and today it has shown me that there were about 7 earthquake in Wanaka. All of them with an intensity over 3.0. The biggest earthquake has happened with an intensity of about 6.0 and that is a really big one. The I am very sorry for the people in Wanaka.
Yesterday I cyceled with Pung the Lake Mahinapua Walkway and it was really fun. We noticed on our half way that the thai-dinner was at about 5 o'clock. Than we need only the half-time to walk the walkway, which was earlier a railway, back. As we arrived at home, Jim told us that the thai-dinner is actually at 6 o'clock.
And I got some pictures for you guys of our walkway and the lovely street.
street to Haast or Queenstown

normal view from school Whanau class room

Okay I think that's it for today, because we will have our dinner now. We are trying Instant Thai Food today.
The funniest thing about the Thai pasta is, they look like plastic, but they taste awesome. Maybe I will upload a picture. Probably coming soon.

About 3 trips

I went with my hostparents Jim and Paula to all those three walkways.
Treetop walkway

We went on Friday to a nice walkway. It is between the trees. Just have a look.

After that we ate in the treetop-cafe a nice cake and went home.

Point Elizabeth Walkway

That was today. It drizzled a bit, but all in all the weather was fine.

Camping this weekend

I was the last night camping and now I am back. I went with Timo's hostfamily and a friend of his hostmother to the Nelson Creek campground:

In the following picture you can see tent of Timo and me.

We made a nice fire and met some other Germans. It is not really a surprise anymore, that we are always finding Germans everywhere.

After it I tried to take some pictures from the sky.

The tree is a bit orange from the fire.

Today we met some friends next to Greymouth and they had their own half pipe in their garden. It is about 5 meters high.

This guy is unbelievable.
