host family

Some days ago I got the information about my host family. It is a lovely couple, which lives in Hokitika, near the school. They are both great-grandparents and have grandsons and granddaughter, which have my age. I am totally happy about their, because it is my desired family. Maybe I post some pictures later, but I should ask my future host family before.

Why is it good to go abroad?

If you would go abroad, 

• you make surely new experiences.
• you can speak English fluently.
• you learn more about the culture of your host country.
• you can make a little break before you go the phase of the school statements against.
• you could find a place to switch off.
• you could fall in love with the nature there.

That are the best arguments I found. If you know more useful arguments please comment. I would add these. 

News

Today I got my official confirmation of participation. I will travel with the organization GLS, because I was very satisfied with the organization and the speediness.

Why New Zealand?

Yeah why New Zealand?! New Zealand is a wonderful country and has an amazing landscape. In the school there I can do many outdoor activities. The subjects there are called outdoor education. For example hiking, biking or skiing. That are regular subjects.

Some weeks ago I wanted to go abroad to Canada, because of the landscape there. But I decided against that, because the winter there is very hard and there I could not hike there very much, because of the snow there. If you want to do many sport activities you should go to New Zealand!

Some information about my trip to New Zealand and the school there

I want to go to the southern Island for a half year. I hope that I can hike there many times.
At the moment the Westland Highschool in Hokitika is the most important school for me. This school is situated at the western coast. Nearly in the middle of the southern island.
